Emergency Preparedness Training

With the support of Linn County Emergency Management, Peer Action Disability Support (PADS) and Access 2 Independence of the Eastern Iowa Corridor are working together to present an emergency preparedness training focused on preparation and response for people with disabilities.

This informational and interactive event is open to absolutely anyone, with a focus on promoting awareness and teaching individuals with disabilities and their supporters ways they can get prepared in the event of any disaster. Participants can join in on filling out important 211 informational cards, learning to create a do-it-yourself emergency kit, and assist in identifying key persons and various community resources.
